Thai Beauty Queen kneels before her mother, the "trash collector," to thank her for her upbringing
After the Miss Uncensored News Thailand beauty pageant went viral two years ago, a photo of Khanitta "Mint" Phasaeng, a tiny Thai girl who won the Miss Uncensored News Thailand beauty pageant two years ago and humbly kneeling to thank her mother, went viral.
Mint returned to her hometown without hesitation to offer her appreciation to her mother by kneeling before her in filial piety, still wearing her crown and sash.
The photos of Mint kneeling were broadcast by Thai radio station Page Feel 96.5 Rayong, and they quickly went viral.
As she knelt on her hands and knees with her head down, netizens all across the world applauded her wonderful behavior. In Thailand, this is the highest award that may be bestowed upon seniors.
“I’m quite pleased with it. Garbage collection is a legitimate career. I grew up with enough to eat, was able to finish high school because my rubbish-collecting mum supported me,” said Mint.
“It is probably not much for other people but for my mother and I, every single baht that we earn is precious,“Thanks to my mom, I have everything I have today.” “Neither she nor I make a living doing honest work, so there’s no need for me to feel inferior,” she explained.
Mint was born into a family of poverty; her parents divorced when she was young, and she was unable to continue her education due to financial restraints.
Mint claimed she couldn't believe it when the referee called the winner. For her, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
She tells us that we should never forget our parents or where we came from, even if we have attained success in life.
